Shirley Mae Taylor

Shirley Mae Taylor, 85, of Castlewood, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clauda Bowen and Ida Tipton, brother, Donald Bowen and sister, Emma Hall.

She retired from Wise Hospital and was a caregiver for many years.  She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and loved all types of shopping.  

Survivors include husband, Doug Taylor; daughters, Theresa Foster, Greta Gilliam, and Lisa Marlow; sons, Kelly Foster and wife Charlene and Jeff Foster and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Kelly Joe Foster, Jr., Joseph Foster, Gregory Marlow, Andie Foster, Kristy Longworth, Misty Foster, Brianne Foster, Savannah Johnson, Angel Diets and Michelle Foster.  Numerous great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Virgil Musick officiating.   Burial will immediately follow the service.  There will be no formal visitation.
