Alene Large Lambert

Lebanon, VA – Sarah Alene Large Lambert, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Born May 24, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Bessie and Richard (Rit) Large. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church for fifty years and enjoyed working in the church, singing in the choir and quartet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Vonda Hughes, Pearl Hughes, Faye Powers and Janice Vanover; and brothers: Trig Large, Therman Large, Albert Large and Lewis Large.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of seventy-one years: Harold Dewain Lambert; two sons: Dewain Lambert, Rocky Lambert and wife Linda; three grandchildren: Matt Lambert, Amanda Mogel and husband Adam, Zach Lambert and wife Kayla; great-grandchildren: Mox Lambert, Alex Mogel and Simon Mogel; brother: Bill Large; several nieces and nephews; along with a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Powers, Rev. Tom Edwards and Rev. Darrell Fletcher officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022.
