Peggy Ann Lacy

The Woodlands, TX – Peggy Ann (Lark) Lacy, passed away with her sons by her side on October 15, 2023. She was born in Russell County, Virginia where she attended school and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree at Radford University. She taught 5th and 6th grades in Virginia and Alabama and then chose to dedicate the rest of her life to her two sons, Greg and Robert. After marrying Lewis Lacy in 1964, she lived in Knoxville, TN, Huntsville, AL and then The Woodlands, TX. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Everett Lark and Dorothy Sykes Lark; husband: Lewis Lacy; brothers: Kenneth Lark and William (Billy) Lark; sisters: Betty Lark Blinne and Polly Lark Gilbert; and many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She is survived by her sons: Gregory Lacy and wife Lizbeth (Libby) Lacy from San Antonio, TX and Robert Lacy from The Woodlands, TX; sister: Patsy Lark Smith from Roanoke, VA; and brother: Jerry Lark from Lebanon, VA; along with sister-in-law Geneva Lark and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. She will be buried beside her husband Lewis at Ketron Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service.
