Neva Anderson Garrett

Neva Anderson Garrett went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Courtney Anderson and Dorothy Maria Hammersley Anderson; husband, Alfred Leonard Garrett; brother, Lewis Courtney Anderson, II; sisters, Carol Anderson Cook and Ellen Anderson; daughter-in-law, Melissa Garrett.

She retired from Pittston Coal Company and was a member of Lebanon Community Fellowship Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts of many kinds. Most of all she loved God and people.

Survivors include her daughter, Leanne Marie Snead; sons, Edward Lewis Garrett and Duane Courtney Garrett and wife Terri; grandchildren, Blake Michael Snead and wife Ashley, Jacob Edward Garrett, Alicia Kitchens, Jaylen Kitchens, Luke Jackson Garrett and Hazel Garrett; great-grandchild, Maia Williams. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7 pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service chapel with Pastor Justin Honaker and Rev. Woody Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service. Graveside service will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Ketron Memorial Mausoleum. Those wishing to attend should meet at the mausoleum by 10:50 am. Grandchildren, nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
