St. Paul, VA – On the morning of Monday, January 2, 2023, Millicent Anita Nuckols Startup Crum went to be with the Lord and Savior at the age of seventy-six. Millie was born to the late Lyle and Beatrice Nuckols in Alexandria, VA. She loved to do paper crafts and was known for her generosity and big heart. She was attending Holy Feast Bible Church in Lebanon, VA where her husband is the Pastor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Sandra and her husband, Patricia and her husband; son-in-law: Dave James.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Crum, whom she married in 1986; daughter: Kimberly Startup James, of Clearwater, FL; son: Robert Startup and wife Jodi, of Wakeman, OH; grandsons: Fred Startup and wife Tiffany of Columbus, OH and Shawn James of Largo, FL; sister: Debra Eanes and husband John of Woodstock, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Harry Layell and Pastor Pamela Sutherland officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 in the East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN. All those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:45 p.m.
