Melissa Ann Schlichting

Melissa Ann Schlichting, 56, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Missy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Glen “Tommy” Kegley and Peggy Elizabeth Owens Kegley.

She loved her family more than anything. They were her pride and joy. She also loved all her fur babies and any stray animals she came across she brought home. She had the biggest heart of gold and her smile and laugh were contagious. Her faith in Jesus was unwavering and her family have comfort in knowing she has made it home. Her favorite band was Journey and that led to her being a small business owner selling Journey memorabilia. She also loved her many friends and touched the lives of people all over the world.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Schlichting; children, Jesse Fields and wife Susan, Ciji Clark and husband Bobby, Gracie Schlichting and friend Brady, Nicki Musick and husband Brandon, and Joshua Schlichting and wife Alice; grandchildren, Raegan Fields, Bella Fields, Nathan Barnette and Carter Musick; father and mother-in-law, Marty and Fran Schlichting and special friend, Vicki Miller.

A celebration of life service will be conducted on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 7 pm in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation chapel with Rev. Ted Rasnake and Rev. Virgil Musick officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service.
