Mary Bellamy

Lebanon, VA – Mary Bellamy, age 72, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She was born February 12, 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell Bellamy, son Walter Hurd, Jr., five brothers Jack, Harold, Worley, Bus and Bill Fields; one sister Sadie Skeens.

Mary enjoyed horses, her flowers and enjoyed the outdoors.  She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Adam Hurd and wife Regina; three sisters Hester Bradley, Nora Lea Bise and husband Pooch and Linda Abbott; two brothers Paul Fields and wife Phyllis and Donald Fields and wife Deloris; grandchildren Jacob Hurd and fiancée Betsy Hale, Ariel Hurd, Ashley Hurd and Jessica Hurd.  Two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Temple Hill Memorial Gardens in Castlewood.  

Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Fields, John Boy Fields, Dalton Fields, Caleb Fields and Ryan Gilbert.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Hurd
