Margaret Johnson Duty

Margaret Johnson Duty, age 91, of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was a 1951 Lebanon High School graduate and a Green Valley Baptist Church member. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Croda Johnson, and sister, Rheba Starnes.

Margaret is survived by her children, Kathy Harris and husband Gene of Christiansburg, Virginia; Michael Duty and wife Jennifer of Belfast, Virginia; Lorri Clark and husband Greg of Lebanon, Virginia; Sarah Bundy and husband Bob of Lebanon, Virginia; Jason Jones and wife Annie of New Market, Tennessee. Grandchildren: Emily Blackwell, Casie Clark (Tyler Orr), Molly Clark, Matthew Harris and wife Amanda, John Michael Duty and wife Caroline, Andrew Harris, Annie Clark, Adam Clark (Casey Compton), Robbie Bundy, Carrie Bundy, Victoria Maxfield and husband Waylon and Isaiah Strickler. Great-grandchildren: Allison Jones, Haylee Griffith, Maggie Orr and Oliver Orr. She is also survived by her sisters, Henrietta Keene of Lebanon, Virginia; Anne Busic of Wytheville, Virginia; her brother, Tommy Johnson and his wife Nancy of Christiansburg, Virginia. 

The family extends special thanks to their mother’s caretaker, Tabitha Hess, for the love she provided this past year.

Margaret’s wishes were for a private family service with entombment following in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
