Lilburn Henry Lampkins

Lebanon, VA – Lilburn Henry Lampkins, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Born February 7, 1932. The son of the late Willie and Alphie Lampkins. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Fields Lampkins; sons: Billy Wade Lampkins and Ernest Lee Lampkins; daughter: Mary Frances Poston; along with several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his son: Sam Lampkins; daughter-in-law: Saundra Lampkins; sister: Ivanell Hicks; grandchildren: Jessica Bradley, Heather Lampkins and Logan Lampkins; grandson-in-law: Rickie Thomas; great-grandchildren: Austin Bradley, Kara Thomas and Khloe Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2021 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Curtis Peak officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rickie Thomas, Winifred “Booge” Hess, David Lampkins, Darrell Lester, Donny Fields, Danny Yates, Earl Lasley, Darrell Lampkins, Donny Lampkins, Eddie Turner, Eric Fields and the Duty boys.
