Lawrence Andrew Williams III passed away following declining health over the past few years. He was known about the town of Lebanon as “the man riding the lawnmower pulling a wagon behind him”. Lawrence, or “Andrew” as some preferred to call him, was actually a man of hidden talents. While living a simple life, he loved “tinkering” with lawnmowers and any mechanical device. He could often be found taking something apart just to see how it works, and then putting it back together, He could solve a problem with a mechanical device, lawnmower, or vehicle when everyone else was unable to find a solution.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Andrew Williams II and Vergie Harding Williams; brother, Richard Williams; and sister, Rebecca Sword.
Lawrence is survived by his sisters: Emma Lou Reynolds (Clifford) and Ellen Freda Reynolds (David); nieces: Sherry Reynolds and fiancé Ronnie and Jessica Matney (Jeremy); nephew, Terry Reynolds and fiancée Nancy; and one great niece Gracie Reynolds, who he loved very much.
A heartfelt “Thank You” is extended to special friend, Michael Rhea, for providing Lawrence a place to stay and assisting him with his basic needs, and Russell Sullivan, manager of Food City in Lebanon, for always making sure Food City had what Lawrence needed in stock, and assisting Michael in getting these items to Lawrence.
The family will have a memorial service for Lawrence Andrew Williams III, on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Word of Victory Fellowship, with Pastor Rod Wicker officiating.
