Julie Rae Wolfe

Abingdon, VA – Julie Rae Wolfe, age 72, went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2023. She was a graduate of Castlewood High School Class of ’69. She loved being a grandmother and was a people person, she saw the good in everyone.  She enjoyed being a prankster and loved animals. She enjoyed hugs from Connor and his team following every game. She was a member of West Main Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Dacie Edwards; sisters: Gaynell Sweet; Alba Lee Woods, Maudie Epperly, Joan Willis; brother: Paul Edwards.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years: Clyde Wolfe; son: Bobby Wolfe and wife Stephanie; grandson: Connor Wolfe; sisters: Ellen Linkous, Lorene Crawford, Mary Dunn and husband Harold, and Joy Gibson; sister-in-law: Becky Edwards; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Pastor Travis Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.

A special thank you to her sister Joy Gibson for her weekly visits and always taking care of her needs.
