Joanne Smith

Joanne Smith, age 84, went to be with the Lord Wednesday March 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Born December 24, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Madge Hicks. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Smith; son, Daniel Carlton Smith; sister, Rhonda Hicks.

Joanne is survived by her son: Dave Smith; daughter-in-Law: Susan P. Smith; grandchildren, Morgan Francisco and husband Trey, Dylan Smith and wife Shay, Drake Smith and wife Ahbra, and Maddie Smith and boyfriend, Zach Bossard; great grandchildren, Sidney, Max, Dakston, Beckham, Drayden, Lennox, and Dallas; sisters, Patsy Vencill and husband Bill, Nancy Dye and Catherine Harper; brother, Tom Hicks and wife Regina, former daughter-in-law Lisa Smith Stevens and sister-in-law Mary Lynn Boyle. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday March 15, 2025 in the Ketron Memorial Garden Mausoleum with Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Friday March 14, 2025 at Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery should meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
