Jean Stidham Elliott

Lebanon, VA -Freddie Jean Stidham Elliott, age 86, went home to be with Jesus Christ on November 27, 2022. Jean was born in Bristol, TN on November 18, 1936 to the family of William and Cora Stidham. Jean moved to Lebanon, Virginia when she married her husband, Fred Elliott.

Jean Elliott was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Carlton Elliott; her daughter, Judith Ann; her brother, Ralph Stidham Jr.; her sister, Patty Booher; her father, William Ralph Stidham; and her mother, Cora E. Wilson Stidham.

Jean Elliott is survived by her sons, William Carlton Elliott (wife, Rhonda) of Lebanon, VA, and Thomas Christopher Elliott (wife, Jan) of Belews Creek, NC; two granddaughters, Dr. Jessica Michelle Elliott of Roanoke, VA, and Kayla Beth Elliott of Lebanon, VA; two grandsons, Timothy Mylon Elliott of Belews Creek, NC, and Terrence Mackenzie Elliott (wife, Michaela) of Lake Waccamaw, NC; three nieces, Jennifer Booher, Sunny Booher-Martin, and Jill Gryszowka; several in-home caregivers; and Jean’s special canine companion, Benji.

The family will be accepting visitors from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel. The viewing will be followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Russell Memorial Cemetery with Darrell Fletcher officiating and grandsons, Mylon and Mackenzie Elliott, speaking.

Pallbearers are Mylon Elliott, Mackenzie Elliott, Chris Elliott, Reggie Sutherland, Mark Mitchell, and Bill Akers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jean to her church home of Lebanon Baptist Church.
