Gaye Marie Chafin

Castlewood, VA – Gaye Marie Chafin, age 83, went home to be with her husband on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Born August 19, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Oakley Hale and Mae Miller Hale. She loved to spend time with her family. She was of the Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bernard Bruce Chafin; brothers: Bobby Marshall and Sam Hale.

Survivors include her daughters: Loretta Hall, Sherry Austin and husband Newton; son: Douglas Chafin and wife Sandy; twin sister: Faye Nicley; sisters: Rev. Peggy Porter, Nellie Bryant and husband L.C. Bryant; brother: Mack Hale and wife Hanna; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Joan Hale and Jean Marshall; along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022 in the Temple Hill Memorial Park Chapel of Love Mausoleum with Rev. Peggy Porter officiating
