Castlewood, VA – Elizabeth Cox Wampler, born December 14, 1937 in St. Paul, Wise County, VA. She was the adopted daughter of the late Burley Lee Cox and the late Wanda Victoria Carty Cox and the biological daughter of the late Walter Franklin Earnest, Jr. and the late Mary Frances Carty Earnest Wescoat. Elizabeth graduated from Castlewood High School in 1955 and graduated from West Virginia Business College in 1956. She was a member of Esther Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years: Billy Hubert Wampler and his parents: Ernest Levi Wampler and Eileen Hazel Hughes Wampler.
She is survived by a loving son: Rick Wampler; sisters: Elaine Earnest Smith of Davie, FL and Linda Earnest Rochester of Lakeland, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2022 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Minister Jim Lyttle and Minister Meyers Vicars officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 in the Temple Hill Memorial Park Chapel of Love Mausoleum. All those wishing to attend should meet at the mausoleum by 10:45 a.m.
