Donald Thomas Osborne

Donald Thomas “Slick” Osborne, Jr., 60, passed away on April 30, 2024 in Johnson City Medical Center.

He loved to farm, hunt, fish and spend time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed working on equipment and could fix anything.  He enjoyed raising cattle and had done so all of his life.  He also loved helping everyone in his community and was a great supporter of Bethany United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude and Ollie Osborne and Jim and Belle Robinson; two uncles, Bob Osborne and Ralph Osborne; father-in-law, Gene Jenkins.

Survivors include wife of forty years, Nancy Jenkins Osborne; daughter, Samantha Osborne; parents, Donald and Barbara Osborne; mother-in-law, Carol Jenkins; aunt, Elizabeth Bowery; cousins, Karen Osborne and Debbie Stanley; niece, Natalie Troutman and nephew Jake Troutman; special friend, Jader Wise.     

A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, May 5, 2024 in the Bethany United Methodist Church, 1520 Moccasin Valley Road, at 6 pm with Rev. Larry Beavers, Rev. Darrell Fletcher and Marsha Rasnake officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 pm. at the church.
