Diana Carol Elks

Rural Retreat, VA – Diana Carol Elks, age 74, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022. She was a 1965 graduate of Lebanon High School and was the daughter of the late Robert Edgar Lee Musick and Jewell Alice Wood Musick. She earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She enjoyed volunteering with the SPCA of Virginia Beach, where she made her home for several years before returning to Southwest Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her son: Fred Richard Elks, III of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Ms. Elks is survived by her grandson: Jimi Elks of Virginia Beach; sisters: Judy Moose of Rural Retreat, VA, Sandra Walz and husband Roger of Wytheville, VA, Kathy Bertovich and husband Anthony of Waynesburg, PA, Deborah Cato and husband Alton of Chilhowie, VA; brother: Daniel Musick of Lebanon, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in the memory of Diana to the Margaret Meade Spay and Neuter Clinic of Bristol, VA.
