Darrell Edwin Breeding

Darrell Breeding, age 61, went to be with the Lord Thursday March 20, 2025, born August 30, 1963, the son of the late George Bea and Evelyn Faye Salyer Breeding. Darrell attended New Bethel Baptist Church.

Darrell was a simple kindhearted man that loved to live the “old way” of life. He was an avid farmer and gardener who always loved sharing the fruits of his labor with everyone he knew. He was one of the most giving and caring people you could have ever known. His generosity towards others went mostly unseen, and he would never want recognition for any of it. Beyond his love for land and cattle, he deeply loved and cared for his family and friends.

Darrell’s life was cut short too soon. He lived his life to the fullest with just the simple things and wouldn’t have had it any other way. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents Darrell was preceded in death by his nephews: William David “Will” Breeding and Matthew Johnson.

Darrell is survived by his fiancée Ashley Lane; brother: David Breeding and wife Lisa; sisters: Sheila Gibson; Sharon Bailey and husband Lester; special nephew and niece: Neil Robinson and wife Natasha; Jennifer Lawson and husband Brandon; special great nieces and nephews: Kasey Robinson, Kylie Robinson, Ian Lawson, and Ty Lawson; additional niece Georgette Boyd and husband Steven; nephews: Brandon Johnson and Nathaniel Breeding. As well as great nieces and nephews and step nieces and nephews. Special buddies Isaiah, Emaleigh, and Kinsley Kiser. Future father and mother-in-law, Bob and Robin Lane.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7pm Sunday March 23, 2025, in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Steven Smith and Rev. Larkin Boothe officiating. Burial will be 11am Monday March 24, 2025, at Temple Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:20 a.m. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Neil Robinson, Nathaniel Breeding, Brandon Lawson, Bob Lane, Isaiah Kiser, and Adam Kiser. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry “Flip” Vicars, Dan Burke, Allen Hicks, Jackie Meade, Dale Nuckels, Timothy Salyer, Gary Hicks, Larry Hicks, Reginald “Peanut” Cureton and Clay Wallace.
