Lebanon, VA – Brenda Lester Taylor, age 73, the most amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend was graduated to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at her home. Born May 4, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Dolphus and Iona Lester. Being a teacher for over twenty-five years revealed her intense love and concern for children; her own and her students-they all made her light up.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-two and a half years: Jerry Taylor; four sons: Matthew Taylor and wife Sherri, Joe Taylor and wife Leora, Jesse Taylor and wife Heather and Caleb Taylor and wife Jennifer; her eight grandchildren will never forget her love for them and will join her in Heaven before very long.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 in Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Gavin Reed and Pastor Jason Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 in Ketron Memorial Gardens. Anyone wishing to attend the committal service is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:40 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
