Brenda Crist Morrison Snawder

Maryville, TN – Brenda Crist Morrison Snawder, age 74, passed away at her home in Maryville, TN, just one week before her 75^th birthday, after an extended illness.

She was a Christian and a former member of Lebanon Baptist Church, Fall Branch Baptist Church, Oak Street Baptist Church, and East Alcoa Baptist Church. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1966 and received an Associate’s Degree in Office Technology from VHCC in 1996. She was born in Montgomery, WV and moved to Lebanon when she was in first grade. She was employed at Russell County Court House, Pittston Coal Group, Gullick-Dobson, and VDOT before retiring in 2009. She loved animals, especially her horse and all of her cats throughout the years.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Larry (Dobe) Morrison (1995) and her second husband of 9 years, George Snawder (2013). She was also preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Janice Crist; and her sister, Burma Puckett (2016).

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Tara and Bryan Ross; grandchildren: Emma Grace Ross, Nolan Dean Ross, Nathan Ross and wife Kaelyn, Zachary Ross and wife Kelci, all of Maryville, TN; brother: Earl Crist, Jr. and wife Chris of Niceville, FL; in-laws: Jerry Puckett, Woody and Etta Morrison, Roger (Pat) Karnes, Emma Sue Barber, and all of their families. Special friends include Lynda Nanney, Brenda (B2) Mullins, and Madeline Depew.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Gene Mullins officiating. Entombment will follow the service in Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. 

Serving as pallbearers will be her family and friends.
