Belethia Avis Grizzle

Cleveland, VA – Belethia Avis Grizzle, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 28, 2022. Born April 6, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Cleveland Grizzle and Maggie Blevins Grizzle.

She loved to garden, enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family, and was the mother to all of the children in her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Grizzle; daughter: Shelby Faye Grizzle; two granddaughters: Debbie Groce and Donna Emmons.

Survivors include her six daughters: Estella Wood, Brenda Julian and husband David Kanabel, Thelma Apperson, Pamela Blair, Tammy Deason and husband John, and Tracy Sinkular and husband Ray; one sister: Mary Graley; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Katie Miller Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
