Anthony (Tony) Douglas McFadden

November 3, 1959 — January 20, 2025

Lebanon

Anthony Douglas (Tony) McFadden lost his long battle with cancer. He passed with family by his side at Heritage Hall. He was the first-born son of Wayne Douglas and Elnor Mae Hoops McFadden. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Ballard (Mack) and Lucy Horne McFadden and Sam and Laura Lewis Hoops.

Anthony exhibited his Christian faith with a kind and compassionate manner. He was baptized at Nash’s Ford when he was a young boy. Before an accident prevented him from working, he worked as a young boy delivering the Lebanon News, helping his dad on the Pepsi route, and later at his uncles’ Corner Grocery. His last job was a Route Salesman for Rainbow Bakery.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara Fields McFadden; his sister Katherine Stiltner (and Bennie) of Tazewell, Virginia; Gary McFadden of Fredericksburg, Va; Mark McFadden (and Glenna) of Galax, Va; Jason McFadden of Lebanon, VA; and special family member like a sister since childhood, Jenessa Cooke of California. He leaves one niece, Heather Puckett; nephews, Eric Puckett, Travis McFadden, and Sam McFadden; great nephews, Tyler Puckett and Dominic Buckner; great nieces, Mollie Puckett, Makayla Arrington, Amelia McFadden, and Olivia McFadden. Surviving aunts and uncles are Sandra and Ken Jessee, Jan and Ralph Campbell, and Shelby Hoops. He is also survived by a host of close cousins.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7 pm, Thursday, January 23, 2025 in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel with Rev. Darrell Fletcher, Rev. Brandon Nuckles and Rev. Mark McFadden officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service. Entombment will be at 11 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2025 in Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
