Annice Smith

Lebanon, VA – Annice Miller Thompson Smith, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 11, 2022.  She was born on February 27, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Charles Russell Miller and Mable Shepard Miller. She was a 1955 Honaker High School graduate and attended The Barn Church. She loved to garden, grow flowers and do needle work.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Omer Clyde Thompson; second husband: Don Smith; sons: Orrin Dean Thompson and Terrance “Terry” Charles Thompson; sister: Iris Wurm and her husband Jerry.

She is survived by her sons: Rick Clyde Thompson and wife Gail, Jeffrey Kevin Thompson and wife Diana, Jerry Scott Thompson and fiancé Kelly, Barry Lynn “Pedro” Thompson and wife Gayle, all of Lebanon; brother-in-law: Jack Plaster of Florida; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A very special thanks to Gayle Thompson, Kimberly Thompson, Direct Care Network and Caris Hospice.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Paul Price officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Burial will immediately follow the service in Thompson Family Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
